Gameplay
The screen’s gone black!
- Try pressing [H] to reset the camera to your colony ship
What is the basic way to start the game after playing mission 1 and 2?
- Most colonies require the same basic buildings to start with. Place a few Residences, a Well, a Food building, a Lumberjack and probably a Forestry. Then you'll soon need a stone Surface Mine and a Workshop.
I've run out of stone and can't expand to find more!
- You are always able to build Level 1 versions of buildings even after you unlock Level 2. So even if you run out of access to stone you are always able to expand using a Level 1 Watchtower and mine using a Level 1 Surface Mine to continue your colony.
- You are also able to dismantle buildings that used stone during construction to recover those resources.
How do I find more resources?
- Try pressing [M] to view the entire map. Of course you will have to expand your territory to find some of those resources.
Why do my bots have red exclamations above their head?
- This means a carrybot is blocked from placing the resource they're carrying at a road post because the road post is full.
How do you prevent road blocks later in the game?
- Managing roads and paths is one of the strategy aspects of the game. Review how to use Roads and Paths and Transport Rules to set up the most efficient connections.
