This is a short introduction to playing The Colonists: Build a new home for your team of robots as they begin a new life for themselves on a distant planet where they can fulfil their ultimate dream: to be human.

Aim of the game

Whilst each mission will have different objectives, the general goal of the game is to guide your team of robots from a simple stone age settlement through to a bustling industrial colony.

👉 New Players

The first mission of the campaign will guide you through all the basics of how to set up a colony. It will show you how to place Roads and Paths, construct buildings and expand your Territory & Map. It is highly recommended for new players and takes around 15 minutes.

The second mission of the campaign will provide some initial set-up instructions for placing a Sheep Farm. After that you will be guided to view the Mission Info and Advisor panels. Then you are on your own.

During these first two missions you will get familiar with the Game's User Interface menu's, panels and information.

After completing the first two missions you are ready to choose a path through Exploration play or play that features combat.

🆘 Advisor

From the start of the second mission you have access to the Advisor panel in the top left of the screen. Here you can find any important problems you currently have with your colony or suggestions for tasks to accomplish next.
