Prioritising Buildings

By default, resources priorities are determined by the order set in the Transport Priorities panel for each resources. For example, if 3 Logs and 1 Energy are all at a single Road Post, the 3 Logs will be routed before the Energy to meet demand. You may notice this on Roads with a lot of moving resources. Also by default, construction priorities are determined by the order set in the Construction Priorities panel for each building. For example, if there are 3 Logs available to meet demand then, according to the Construction Priorities, an unconstructed Lumberjack Hut L1 would be a higher priority than a Residence L1. However, you can also prioritise a single building over all others by hitting the Prioritise button at the bottom of each building panel. Once prioritised, a pink star will appear above the building and it will appear at the top of the demand list for all resources that it is trying to source either for construction or production. For example, if you have a Level 1 Watchtower that you wish to build as quickly as possible then Prioritising your Watchtower will mean it receives all available Logs produced ahead of any other buildings that may also currently need Logs. It is important to note that you are able to set one Priority building per building type. Hotkeys Holding P + click on a building. TOP TIP: Use Priority if you need to build your Watchtowers as quickly as possible as you may often have multiple demands for your logs.
