Train Tunnels
Train Tunnels allow your trains to go under hills and mountains.
Train Tunnels are placed by the player at no cost using
under the
train tracks menu .
Notes
Train Tunnels automatically have train tracks placed in them.
Train Tunnels entry and exit must be at the same height (level tracks).
Train Tunnels entry and exit must be above water level.
Train Tunnels entry and exit may not be on Flora or Fauna (Trees, Rocks, etc.) .
Train Tunnels may not cross open space; the tunnel must be entirely though land.
Train Tunnels must be entirely underground; entry and exit should be on steep slopes
Train Tunnels may not cross other train tunnels, but they can be above or below other train tunnels.
Once placed, each end of a Train Tunnel may have additional tracks attached.
Placing
When placing a Train Tunnel the direction and exit are automatically calculated based on the slope of the entry tile.
The prospective Train Tunnel can be rotated using the [R] key.
Valid placement will be highlighted in blue with path and exit location shown.
Invalid placement that violates above conditions will show short section in proposed direction and be highlighted in red.
